I had a dream! It was from the old era when I was In the IRL brigade. I had no friends or followers, just real life mates. I had a vision of what it used to be like, travelling to see people and places, walking up mountains, swimming in glacial lakes, cycling first thing in the morning 30 miles to Birling Gap for a dip before breakfast. Going out to the pub! Going to the supermarket. Choosing clothes and shoes in boutiques and department stores. Missing people you can't keep in touch with when you're abroad. Feeling the vastness of separation. Sending and receiving letters and postcards. Going to the bank to cash a cheque. There was more time to do the things you wanted to do, fewer options made it easier to know what that was. All this communication is starting to exhaust me! I used to be a sociable person but I didn't realise I needed 100s of friends and 1000s of followers. Maybe I wasn't sociable after all?
Like what else is there to do? I hardly remember now what I did before I was plugged in all day and night!
